“Immanuel Reads” Next Book/Movie Selection and Discussion
Saturday, November 18, 3PM
“Immanuel Reads” has chosen “The Case for Christ: A Journalist’s Personal Investigation of the Evidence for Jesus” by Lee Stobel as the next book selection. “Lee Stobel asks the tough-minded questions skeptics would ask and provides convincing answers to all of them.” Phillip E. Johnson, Best Selling Author and Law Professor, Univ. of CA, Berkeley. The book was published in 1998 so it should be available in libraries and second hand bookstores. It was also recently released as a movie. We will view the movie on Saturday, November 18, at 3:00 PM, and review the book and movie at 5:00 PM, followed by a most wonderful potluck at 6:00. Everyone welcome, reading is optional.
Youth Dinner Theater
Sunday, November 19, 5:30–8:00 p.m.

On November 19th, the youth “Dinner Theater” will provide you, your family and your friends to a nice evening out and a tasty meal, complete with three courses! The dinner is suitable for people of all ages. In addition we will entertain you with a live, fun, and dramatic murder mystery!! Prepare to have a good time and relax.
Confirmation at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Los Altos
Confirmation is a weekly gathering of young people, usually in 7th and 8th grades. In these gatherings we learn about faith, values, and life through discussion, learning exercises, play, recreation, and service. Confirmation has consistently been one of Immanuel’s most successful and enjoyable programs for youth. We invite youth in your family to participate.
- Weekly Confirmation meetings usually take place on Sundays 5:00-6:00 PM.
- Other youth activities such as outings, movie nights, and retreats are offered as part of the program.
For more information plan to come to the introductory meeting on September 24 at 5 PM, or contact our Youth Director, Danny Dye or Pastor David Schick at:
