Pastor David Schick
I began serving as pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church in March 2010. I am grateful for the opportunity to lead this amazing Christian community dedicated to helping people experience the healing love of Jesus Christ. I have a passion for teaching and preaching, ministry with young people, music, and reaching out in meaningful ways to the surrounding community. Before coming to Immanuel, my wife, Carla, and I spent five years in ministry in the Eastern European country of Slovakia for ELCA. Because of our years of ministry overseas, we truly enjoy welcoming people from many cultural backgrounds, which is something that Immanuel does very well. We have two wonderful adult sons and two grandchildren. I am a musician and enjoy performing, composing, and leading music. I also enjoy the outdoors, especially hiking and camping.

The youth group also spends time reaching out to the community with service projects. Activities for all ages include a Pumpkin Party, Living Nativity, and an Easter Egg party and hunt. Annual trips he leads include a mission trip to Mexico, Confirmation Camp at Mt. Cross Lutheran Camp, youth conferences in San Diego and Thousand Oaks, as well as whitewater and skiing trips.
