Confirmation at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Los Altos

Confirmation is a weekly gathering of young people, usually in 7th and 8th grades. In these gatherings we learn about faith, values, and life through discussion, learning exercises, play, recreation, and service. Confirmation has consistently been one of Immanuel’s most successful and enjoyable programs for youth. We invite youth in your family to participate.

The "after the Sunday service" Bible study will begin a study of the book of Acts in February. We plan on using our Bibles and an Acts guide from the Books of Faith Series (from Augsburg Fortress). Partly because we'll be using this reference, we need to get some idea (count) of the number of folks who are interested.

 The guidebook seems to show 8 lessons, but at this time I'm not sure if a week per lesson is the right time frame. This will require reading the lesson before the class meeting.

 There will also be a break in our study, when Pastor Josh wants to host a study of Martin Luther. (possibly during Lent).  We meet shortly after the Sunday service ends, allowing time for folks to get coffee and treats, and greet others. We usually run 'till about 12:15 and depending on the geographical location of the group, it can be live in the Fireside Room, or via Zoom.

“Open Studio Painting and Drawing” is a drop-in opportunity that offers a pleasant space to work, tables, plus social and artistic interaction each Thursday morning from 9AM-12Noon. Bring your easel and supplies; no instruction provided. Join fellow artists of all levels and mediums. This is an Immanuel-sponsored activity that is being offered to the community.
