Immanuel Lutheran Chancel Choir

The Immanuel Lutheran Chancel Choir is composed of 16 volunteer members ranging in ages young adult to older adults, who sing for the 11:00 AM Liturgical Worship during the months of September through June and for all special celebrations throughout the church year. In addition, the choir leads the sung mid-week services during Advent and Lent.

The ministry of music at Immanuel holds its long-standing heritage of excellence in music as a gift and responsibility. At the core of the church is its worship of God and through its many choral and instrumental ensembles, the ministry of music seeks to glorify God, to nurture God's people and to reach out into the world. As a result, much of our musical effort is directed to the weekly presentation of the liturgical worship service where we sing introits, anthems, psalms, and communion offerings.

We are currently seeking new members for the upcoming season. Please contact our Minister to the Choirs: Lynda Alexander at 650-493-3088.

All singers are welcome. Our rehearsals are held on Thursday nights from 7:30 - 8:30 PM.

Immanuel Lutheran Handbell Choir

Our Immanuel Handbells is a great group of all ages! An ensemble of musicians who play the 3 octave set of Schulmerich Handbells typically present solos once per month at the 11:00 AM Liturgical Worship. In addition, the bells are used to enhance various portions of the liturgy, such as psalms, introits, hymns and peals. ALL ages are invited to join us each Thursday night at 6:30 PM.

Please contact the Director, Lynda Alexander at 650-493-3088 with any questions or for a free lesson on bell ringing.
