2017 Stewardship Emphasis

Our theme this year is “Ripples.” Ripples are, of course, easy to create with a mere drop of rain or a small stone tossed into a pond.  But once created these concentric ridges of water journey out to distances beyond what we can imagine, reaching far and wide. So it is with our giving as followers of Jesus. The gifts we give of our time and resources also create ripples, making an impact that has an effect beyond what we can see. Ephesians 3:20 speaks of a God who is able to do infinitely more than all we can ask or imagine. This refers to how God can use our words, actions, offerings, and service to make a huge impact. Together our gifts are like stones tossed into a body of water, producing ripples of ministry that journey out, affecting people we have not met as well as future generations. Lives are changed, hearts are transformed, and God’s kingdom is built. . . one ripple at a time.

This idea of a ripple affect will help us to explore many areas of our stewardship in the church – our abilities and talents, offerings, and also the stewardship of our ideas – how we can partner together to develop creative ideas for Immanuel’s future mission. Pledges of support are gratefully received. All who would like to make a pledge of support for this year can go to our pledge page here, print it, and return it to the church office.

We thank all of Immanuel's friends for their dedicated and ongoing support, as we work together to change our world through the ripples we create in the name of Jesus Christ.
